Properties Committee
The Properties Committee is designed to be a team that seeks to raise funds for the section’s operations. Working with the Council of Chiefs, the Properties Committee chairman develops ideas for specific fundraising items to be sold at the conclave or throughout the year. Ideas can be sought from other lodges both in and out of the Section as well as from other Sections. The internet is also a valuable tool for research into new and different ideas. For any item, the Properties Committee chairman will implement the idea after having it approved by the Council of Chiefs. It is important that whatever fundraising ideas are planned, that they not interfere or conflict with then Service Council’s plans for the conclave or with the Councils/Lodges in the Section.
To review, the duties of the Properties Committee are:
1) Develop and plan ideas for fundraising for the section
2) Secure approval of the Council of Chiefs
3) Produce items to be used for fundraising
4) Assure there is no conflict with the Service Council’s plans for the conclave or with the Councils/Lodges in the section
