Publications Committee
The Publications Committee is responsible for the periodical newsletter produced for the conclave. It is up to the committee’s chairmen to recruit the best and brightest publications minds from throughout the Section.
The duties of the Publications Committee are to produce five issues of the conclave newsletter, the Winds. One should be produced for arrival on Friday night, each meal on Saturday, and Sunday breakfast. Each issue should contain information important to the conclave, as well as some ‘color’ stories that will interest all. In order to produce these newsletters, the committee will use facilities that are provided by the Service Council, or through the Section’s resources.
In addition to its Conclave duties, the Publications Committee will also be responsible for sending out Winds newsletters to keep the Council of Chiefs informed of Section progress and future meetings. During the year, the annual Section Publications competition should also be held, with submissions being submitted by the final Council of Chiefs meeting, judging taking place before the Conclave, and awards being presented at the Sunday business meeting of the Conclave.
To review, the duties of the Publications Committee are:
1) Produce five newsletters during the Conclave that will both inform and entertain the delegates
2) Host and obtain awards for the Section Publications competition
3) Maintain a section newsletter called to keep section Arrowmen up to date throughout the year
4) Assist other committees in the publication of their resources as requested
